Abstract

Increased demand in the agricultural sector and manufacturing industry, especially for fertilizer and dolomite mining materials, has driven the need to optimize warehouse management of finished goods. The current goods management system in PT Magnesium Gosari Internasional. This project aims to provide proposals for warehouse layout planning at PT Magnesium Gosari Internasional, speed up the process of picking up goods, and increase operational efficiency. The results of re-planning the warehouse layout using the class-based storage method show that the capacity of Warehouse 1 was reduced by 4.6% or 721 tons and Warehouse 2 by 19.4% or 2,043 tons, by allocating part of the area for transportation maneuver routes and goods processing areas. defects, sieve machine, screen printing area, and auxiliary material storage area. Product grouping produces 11 products in the fast-moving category, 1 type in the slow-moving category, and 2 types in the non-moving category. The proposed new warehouse layout has proven effective in shortening material handling distances, speeding up the goods transportation process, and supporting the smooth distribution of goods.
