Abstract
Long bean (Vigna sinensis L.) is an important vegetable commodity with high nutritional value, but its production in Indonesia has decreased. This decline is caused by improper cultivation techniques. Efforts to increase production can be made through NPK fertilization and the application of growth regulators (GA3). The combination of the two has the potential to increase the growth and yield of long beans. This study aims to assess the response of broad bean to the dose of NPK fertilizer and GA3 concentration. This study used RPT with 2 factors, each treatment combination was repeated 3 times. Data analysis used analysis of variance (ANOVA). This research is expected to provide information and recommendations on the most appropriate doses of NPK fertilizer and GA3 concentrations that can increase growth and yield. The most appropriate concentration of GA3 so that it can increase the growth and yield of long bean plants. The combination of NPK fertilizer and GA₃ had a significant effect on the growth and yield of long bean plants. NPK 15 g/plant + GA₃ 100 ppm increased plant length, NPK 5 g/plant + GA₃ 100 ppm increased fruit number, and NPK 15 g/plant + GA₃ 150 ppm increased pod weight. The single treatment of NPK 15 g/plant and GA₃ 100-150 ppm also affected the growth and yield of long bean plants.
