Abstract

This report discusses the implementation of a Fiber to the X (FTTX) network using the VLAN Management method on Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology in the Jababeka industrial zone. GPON has become a primary choice for delivering efficient broadband access services in industrial environments. The objective of this study is to identify and analyze the implementation steps of an FTTX network based on GPON, with a focus on VLAN management in the Jababeka area. The research method used is a case study, with data collected through field observations, interviews, and document analysis. The implementation of the FTTX network using GPON with VLAN Management is expected to provide significant benefits, including improved network management efficiency, enhanced access control, and better service quality for end users. The findings from this research are anticipated to serve as a foundation for further development in strengthening network infrastructure in industrial zones by leveraging GPON technology. The conclusion drawn from this report is that implementing an FTTX network with VLAN Management on GPON technology can be an effective and efficient solution to support connectivity needs in industrial areas such as Jababeka.
