Abstract

Globalization has made local culture, especially traditional arts, less popular among young people, who are more interested in foreign cultures. This has weakened their sense of national pride. In Mojokerto, traditional arts are becoming less common, with fewer art groups still active, even though some are still kept alive. The growth of cities, influenced by globalization, also brings environmental problems, such as more greenhouse gases and the overuse of natural resources. The Mojokerto government is now focusing on environmentally friendly development and sustainable tourism. A cultural center with sustainable architecture is needed to help protect local culture, support creativity, and give educational benefits. The design uses a practical method, focusing on how the building works, the materials used, and how it fits the local culture and environment. The cultural center will include energy-saving features and provide spaces for artists and the public, such as an auditorium, gallery, art studios, and a food court.
