Abstract

As the number of elderly users increases, it is important to ensure that the app's design is accessible and put to good use by this group. Gojek is an online transportation application that is widely used for elderly users. By applying the Think aloud method and the System Usability Scale (SUS), it can determine the usability of online transportation applications. Testing is conducted using task scenarios that focus on effectiveness, efficiency, and user satisfaction. There are re repairs and tests for prototype design proposals for improvements in online transportation applications. Improvements made to the home section, profile menu, favorite addresses, and travel activity history. The results showed that the average application effectiveness value increased from 85% at the initial design to 100%. The efficiency value shows a significant improvement from the initial design of 73% to 100% in the proposed improvement design. The average SUS score before repair was 61.25 in the marginal category, and increased to 81.25 in the acceptable category after the repair design was performed. These findings show that Gojek's application needs to be continuously improved to meet the specific needs of elderly users. This research contributes to the development of a more inclusive and user friendly app design, improving accessibility and the overall user experience.
