Abstract
This research aims to analyze the form of legal protection available against identity fraud as a medical professional, as well as to understand the judges' considerations in issuing a verdict in case number 1747/Pid.B/2023/Pn.Sby.This study uses a normative legal approach method which examines laws and regulations, court decisions, literature studies and related legal literature. The results of this study conclude that victim protection is based on criminal sanctions imposed by judges based on the Medical Practice Law Number 29 of 2004 in order to obtain restitution or compensation. Judges can provide regulations based on Special Laws (lex specialis) in order to create a deterrent effect.
