Abstract
The use of energy plays a crucial role in sustaining human activities, yet the issue of conventional (non-renewable) energy crisis has become a topic frequently discussed, with many scientists predicting that it will be depleted in the near future.The increase in energy consumption is in line with the growing development of infrastructure and buildings to accommodate population growth. Energy efficiency is an initial step in energy conservation efforts, as it provides options for mitigating CO2 emissions, as well as reducing energy usage intensity and costs. The implementation of green building concepts in buildings is one such effort towards energy efficiency. This study aims to analyze and optimize the green building concept in terms of energy efficiency in Gedung III Fakultas Teknik UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. The analysis focuses on efficiency in aspects such as lighting, air conditioning, energy-saving modeling using the EDGE 3.0.0 software, calculation of energy consumption intensity, and CO2 reduction calculation. Based on the analysis results, it is found that the building has implemented energy-saving measures with a savings value of 18,09% from the base building and has reduced CO2 emissions by 100,34 tons per year.
