Abstract

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a manufacturing company engaged in the cement industry with an integrated production system. The cement production process consists of several key stages, including raw material mining, crushing, raw material processing, kiln firing, final grinding, and packaging. The primary raw materials used include limestone (CaCO₃), clay (Al₂O₃·2SiO₂·xH₂O), silica sand (SiO₂), as well as additional materials such as gypsum, limestone, dolomite, and fly ash. To ensure product quality, the company operates various laboratories that support testing of raw materials, waste, and coal, and implements analytical methods such as chemical testing, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and physical property testing. Additionally, PT Semen Indonesia has various supporting facilities, including a water treatment system, industrial fuel storage, energy supply, and an operational air system to sustain the production process. Industrial waste management is also a crucial aspect of the company's operations as part of its efforts to maintain environmental sustainability in the cement industry.
