Abstract

Meeting rooms play a crucial role in supporting company activities, particularly for strategic decision-making and team collaboration. However, the manual management of meeting rooms often presents challenges in monitoring room availability. This study aims to design and develop a web-based meeting room management information system using JavaScript, providing real-time schedule monitoring and online room booking for PT XYZ. The research adopts the Waterfall approach, encompassing the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system development utilizes React.js for an interactive user interface, Express.js for server logic management, and Prisma ORM along with MySQL for database management. System testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure the system operates according to the designed test scenarios. The results indicate that the developed information system enables users to monitor room availability in real-time and book meeting rooms online. Additionally, the system includes advanced features for operational meeting room management, such as automatic email reminders, meeting minutes recording, and participant feedback forms. The system also provides centralized access for managing meeting room data and booking schedules.
