Abstract
This research examines the factors influencing the price movement of cryptocurrency, particularly Bitcoin, through the application of technical analysis. Cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, has garnered significant attention due to its decentralized nature and potential as an investment asset, despite its high volatility. The purpose of this study is to identify key Patterns, including Trendlines, Support and Resistance, Candlestick formations, and Chart Patterns, that affect Bitcoin price movement from June 2022 to October 2023. Using data from various trading platforms and applying indicators such as Moving Average, Candlestick, Trend, Support and Resistance, Volume, Breakout, and Chart Patterns, this study provides insights into the potential of technical analysis in guiding buy and sell decisions in the cryptocurrency market. The findings show that technical analysis provides valuable predictive signals for future price movements and can be a highly useful tool for investors and traders in navigating the volatile cryptocurrency market. Additionally, this research integrates behavioral economics, demand and Supply theory, monetary aggregate theory, portfolio theory, and monetarist theory to offer a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics. The conclusion of this study is that the combination of technical analysis tools, Supported by historical data and market sentiment, can enhance the decision-making process in cryptocurrency trading.
