Abstract
This research was conducted to design and manage bandwidth at PT Sumber Makmur alam Sentosa. The research method uses the PPDIOO method with 6 stages, namely prepare, plan, design, implement, operate and optimize, but from this method only a few stages are used, namely prepare, plan, and design. Data is collected by conducting interviews and observations at PT Sumber Alam Makmur Sentosa where the company needs the internet but the company wants the internet to run optimally so that a priority scale is used for each user. In the first stage, the author identifies the problems that occur and determines the problem formulation so that the focus of the problem and scope do not widen, then in the first stage / plan the author determines the parameters, order and equipment to be used. continued to the design phase where the author designs the order and conducts testing. then the evaluation stage is to analyze the data that has been obtained after testing and evaluate the research results. Testing was carried out by creating a network topology design but due to limited resources, the scale of testing was reduced to a ratio of 10 : 1, After that the author ensures that the network is running and is able to be accessed by each user, the data obtained shows that each user gets irregular bandwidth, this can be proven by the existence of users who do not get bandwidth, after that bandwidth management is carried out using the Per Connection Queue (PCQ) method and the results are obtained that each user gets regular bandwidth based on their priority scale so that no user does not get bandwidth. With these results, bandwidth management has been successfully carried out and the company's wishes regarding an optimal network have been fulfilled.
