Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) currently play a crucial role in Indonesia's economy. However, MSME managers face several challenges, such as marketing and digitalization issues. To address these challenges, MSMEs require support in managing business processes more quickly and efficiently through the use of e-marketplaces. This study designed an e-marketplace application using the Lean UX method to assist in managing all information related to MSMEs in the pastry and bakery sector. The findings indicate that the design of the BakeHouse e-marketplace interface using the Lean UX approach successfully met user assumptions. After two design iterations incorporating improvements based on Heuristic Evaluation feedback, the evaluation results showed significant improvements compared to the first iteration. This was demonstrated by an increase in scores from 70 to 90.5 for evaluations by MSME owners and from 67.5 to 89.5 for evaluations by customers in the System Usability Scale assessment. The average score for the Questionnaire of User Interface Satisfaction for MSME owners increased from 7.53 to 8.58, while the average score for customers rose from 6.74 to 8.05.
