Abstract
Pabrik Refined Carrageenan dari Rumput Laut Eucheuma Cottoni Menggunakan Proses Presipitasi Kalium Klorida dengan kapasitas 50.000 ton/tahun akan didirikan di Kawasan Industri Makassar, Kecamatan Biring Kanaya, Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan, Indonesia. Bahan baku yang digunakan dalam pembuatan karagenan adalah rumput laut kering, KOH padat, dan KCl padat. Rumput laut kering didapatkan dari distributor rumput laut lokal yang berada di sekitar daerah Sulawesi Selatan. KOH padat dan KCl padat didapatkan dari AJS Chemindo Makassar.
