Abstract
Tourism is an important sector in the economy that can contribute to regional income and the community's economy. Pokdarwis also plays an important role in the development and management of local tourist destinations. One example is Pokdarwis Wana Abadi, who manages Growgoland Water Fun, a water tourism destination located in Ngunut Village, Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency. The purpose of the research is to find out what the role of Pokdarwis Wana Abadi is in the management of Growgoland Water Fun tourism in Ngunut Village, Dander District, Bojonegoro Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The results of this study discuss the strategic role of Pokdarwis Wana Abadi in the management and development of Growgoland Water Fun tourism in Bojonegoro. As a facilitator, Pokdarwis encourages active community involvement to improve the local economy, mediate conflicts, and provide tourism infrastructure even though there are still shortcomings in the available facilities. Education and training, especially in welcoming visitors and promoting tourism, are important elements carried out in collaboration with the Tourism Office. However, more in-depth technical training is still needed to improve people's skills. The representative role of Pokdarwis can be seen from their initiative to seek external support, such as facility assistance from Exxon Mobil, as well as the use of social media for promotion, which has succeeded in attracting visitors from various regions. In addition, they also use WhatsApp for effective communication with the local community. In the technical aspect, Pokdarwis relies on computers for administration and financial management with a transparent system, although the technical skills of members still need to be improved. Overall, Pokdarwis Wana Abadi has succeeded in carrying out various strategic roles that support sustainable tourism management, improve the local economy, and create positive synergies between the community and tourism managers.
