Abstract
Nematode attack on tomato plants is one of the serious challenges in agricultural production. Streptomyces is one of the Gram-positive bacteria that can be found in mangrove soil. Streptomyces spp has the ability to produce antibiotic compounds in the form of secondary metabolites that are antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral to survive from antagonistic organisms. With this important role, the search for new Streptomyces isolates on a large scale began to be researched and developed in mangroves because they were able to produce secondary metabolites that had significant potential. Streptomyces research results (Rashad, 2015) showed significant nematicidal activity against J2 of the nematode M. Incognita with Juvenile 2 (J2) mortality rates found to be higher at 20% concentration than at 10% and mortality rates continued to increase up to 48 hours. This study aims to determine the ability of Streptomyces spp. in controlling nematodes in vitro and the ability of Streptomyces spp. in inhibiting root-knot formation. The test research used factorial with two factors of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) The first factor is the comparison of different isolates of Streptomyces spp. namely, KS1: Streptomyces spp. best 1 Land 1., KS2: Streptomyces spp. best 2 Land 1., KG1: Streptomyces spp. best 1 Land 2., KG2: Streptomyces spp. best 2 Land 2., The second factor is the difference in concentration, namely, S1: 10%., S2: 20 %. Treatment with a suspension of Streptomyces spp. using a concentration of 20% of both mangrove land is the highest result that affects mortality of 60.21% and 58.33%. and the formation of rootnematode Meloidogyne spp with a value of 7.66 and 8.33.
