Abstract

In a construction project, labor productivity is one of the factors that affect the efficiency and success of the project. This is very important in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) work on multi-storey buildings, where punctuality, quality, and reliability of installation are very important for the comfort and safety of the building's users. This study aims to analyze labor productivity in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) work on the construction of the Twin Tower Building of UPN "Veteran" East Java. The data collected include planning and realization in the field, such as work power coefficient, daily work volume, total daily labor, and labor productivity. The analysis method used is to compare planning productivity and realization productivity in the field. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the planned productivity calculated based on AHSP and the realized productivity in the field. Installation of Lights and Sockets, Clean Water Installation, and Waste Water Installation showed lower productivity in the field compared to the plan, which could result in delays in project completion. This is due to complexity, technical factors that complicate the installation process, and the high number of installations. The Fire Alarm and Fire Extinguishing System (Hydrant Sprinkler) work showed higher productivity in the field compared to the plan, which could be due to the relatively small number of installations and the efficiency of the work process.
