Abstract
PT Kilang Pertamina RU IV Cilacap relies on its 82E-201 shell and tube heat exchanger for efficient heat transfer in crude oil processing. Over time, fouling reduces performance, increasing energy use. The company evaluates efficiency through thermal calculations (LMTD, heat transfer coefficients, Reynolds number) and fouling analysis to schedule maintenance. Proper cleaning during shutdowns restores performance, ensuring energy efficiency and reliable operations.
