Abstract
Porous concrete is one solution in pavement construction which can be said to be successful in meeting expectations as a construct that environmentally friendly. The compressive strength of porous concrete tends to be low due to the large number of cavities. This research was conducted because Terminal Sampang buses are prone to puddles of rain, especially during the rainy season Due to the relatively high rainfall and poor drainage system, thus causing disruption of service activities. In this study, the coarse aggregate used was gravel with sizes 5-10 mm, 10-20 mm, and 20-30 mm. The research method used is a laboratory test method, while concrete mixing uses the American Concrete Institute (ACI) method. Water cement factor (FA/S) which used is 0.25; 0.35; 0.45; and 0.55. From the results of this study it is known that the greater the value of the compressive strength porous concrete is achieved, the porosity value obtained tends to be getting smaller. The optimum average compressive strength value is in the concrete mix porous with gravel size of 20-30 mm and water cement factor (FA/S) 0.35 i.e of 11 MPa and has an average porosity of 10.792%. While the optimum average porosity occurs in porous concrete mixtures with gravel with a size of 5-10 mm and a cement water factor (FA/S) of 0.55 which is 15.353% and has an average compressive strength of 7.68 MPa. Where is the result The optimum compressive strength and porosity have not yet reached the minimum requirements pavement as a parking lot. Need to consider adding sand to increase the compressive strength value even though the porosity value will be decrease. Keywords: Porous Concrete, Coarse Aggregate, Compressive Strength, Porosity.
