Abstract
Rice is one of the leading commodities in Bojonegoro Regency and is a rice producing area in East Java. This research aims to determine the competitiveness of rice farming in Bojonegoro Regency. Determining the sub-district sample areas in Bojonegoro Regency was carried out deliberately by selecting the sub-district sample areas that had the largest amount of rice production in Bojonegoro Regency. This research uses more than one stage of sampling, which is called multistage random sampling. The data used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis used is the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM) model. The research results show that rice farming in Bojonegoro Regency is worth pursuing because it has competitive advantages and comparative advantages. This is proven by the average value of PCR and DRCR which is less than 1. The PCR value is 0.67 while the DRCR value is 0.58. Rice farming in Bojonegoro Regency shows very good performance, both in terms of competitiveness in the market and efficient use of domestic resources. This shows that Bojonegoro Regency has positive indicators regarding the desire and potential for sector development in the future. Keywords: Competitiveness, Paddy, PAM
