Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of investment knowledge, investment risk perception, and financial literacy on the investment interest of millennial generation students majoring in accounting at the National Development University "Veteran" East Java. This research uses a descriptive quantitative research approach. The population in this study were millennial generation students majoring in accounting at the National Development University "Veteran" East Java who had taken investment management courses. The sampling technique was carried out using the Slovin formula. The total population is 798 students. The sample obtained was 115 students. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The analytical method used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with a Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. Testing the questionnaire results uses validity analysis and reliability analysis. The research results show that investment knowledge has no effect on investment interest. Meanwhile, perceptions of investment risk and financial literacy influence investment interest. Good investment knowledge does not fully indicate high investment interest. On the other hand, good investment risk perception and financial literacy will indicate high investment interest.
