Abstract

Directly proportional to the scientific design and increasing health needs, hospital health facilities are being built in various regions. In reality, the development of these health facilities has not been evenly distributed in all regions. One of them is the problem of the need for hospital facilities in Tuban City. A Type C General Hospital in Tuban is needed in a strategic area so as to minimize the number of bed shortages in Tuban Regency, meet the needs as a level 2 referral site, and as an effort to equalize health facilities in Tuban. The location chosen is Rengel sub-district which is the sub-district with the 3rd largest population density in Tuban Regency but does not have a general hospital and clinic and has a long distance from other hospitals. With the design of Type C General Hospital using the healing environment approach which is an approach by having an attachment to nature, reducing stress, encouraging surrounding support, providing positive responses, feelings of peace and psychological connection of patients. Through the addition of a Type C General Hospital with a healing environment approach that has a connection between the environment and architectural design as a whole to the building, it is hoped that it will not only be able to accommodate the health needs of the Tuban Regency community but also have a positive impact on the environment and have an impact on the efficiency of patient recovery and overall effectiveness.
