Abstract

PT Petrokimia Gresik is one of Indonesia's most comprehensive fertilizer companies, producing a diverse range of products including Urea, ZA, SP-36, NPK Phonska, DAP, NPK Kebomas, ZK, and organic fertilizers such as Petroganik. In addition to fertilizers, PT Petrokimia Gresik manufactures non-fertilizer products like sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia, dry ice, aluminum fluoride, and cement retarders. The company's products are categorized into several clusters: single fertilizers, compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, bio-fertilizers, soil improvers, seeds, decomposers, development products, probiotics, agricultural processed products, attractants, plant growth regulators (ZPT), bio-fungicides, and pesticides. Originally known as Proyek Petrokimia Surabaya in 1960, the construction agreement was signed on August 10, 1964, and became effective on December 8, 1964. The project was inaugurated by the President of Indonesia on July 10, 1972, which is celebrated as the company's founding day. PT Petrokimia Gresik supports the government's program to enhance national agricultural production. Initially under the Directorate of Basic Chemical Industry, the company came under the Ministry of Finance in 1992. However, due to the financial crisis in Indonesia, PT Petrokimia Gresik was transformed into a holding company of PT Pupuk Sriwijaya in 1997.
