Abstract

Disodium phosphate, commonly traded as DSP, serves as a fundamental base for various phosphate compounds. This intermediate compound plays a crucial role in the production of trisodium phosphate and sodium tripolyphosphate. Known by other names such as sodium phosphate dibasic, secondary sodium phosphate, sodium hydrogen phosphate, or sodium orthophosphate, disodium phosphate is an important industrial chemical used in cosmetics, detergents, and other applications. It is categorized as a phosphate compound and acts as an intermediate product within the chemical industry. A disodium phosphate plant, utilizing sodium carbonate and phosphoric acid as raw materials and employing a double effect evaporator for crystallization, has a production capacity of 50,000 tons per year. Located in the Maspion Industrial Area, Jalan Alpha Manyar Sidorukun, Manyar District, Gresik Regency, East Java 61151, the plant is designed to operate continuously 24 hours a day for 330 working days annually, with a workforce of 185 employees
