Abstract

The sugar making process at PG. Redjosarie uses sugar cane as the main ingredient. The auxiliary materials used to help the production process are phosphoric acid, lime milk, sulfur, flocculant, and disinfectant. The sugar cane milled at PG. Redjosarie is obtained from the Magetan, Sragen, and Ponorogo areas. The categories of sugar cane used are TS, TRK, and TRM. The sugar production process is divided into 5 stages. The first stage is the sugar cane milled to obtain the sap. The second stage is the purification of the sugar cane sap from impurities. The third stage is the evaporation process to concentrate the sap. The fourth stage is the crystallization process to form sugar crystals. The fifth stage is packaging.
