Abstract

Industrial development in Indonesia is increasing along with the entry of the industrial era 4.0. This is characterized by the number of factories that process raw materials into finished materials, as well as the increase in the capital goods industry including the machinery and equipment industry. Although the need for chemicals is increasing, there are still many sectors that still depend on foreign imports. In overcoming these problems, it is necessary to establish a factory to meet domestic needs. Sodium Silicate is one of the raw materials that are needed in the industrial world. Sodium Silicate is a common name for compounds with the chemical formula Na2SiO3. This compound consists of sodium, silicon and oxygen. Sodium silicate can be used in various industrial applications. One of them is usually used as a binder in various industrial applications, such as cement and paint. Sodium silicate can also be used as a basic ingredient in the production of detergents and other chemicals. Sodium Silicate Plant with raw materials of Silica Sand and Sodium Carbonate with Baker process has a capacity of 40,000 tons/year, established in Tuban Industrial Estate, Karangdowo, Socorejo, Kec. Jenu, Tuban Regency, East Java 62352.
