Abstract
There has been no disclosure of the meaning of the identity symbol of behavior from the design of the Sharp Bamboo Monument artifact as the mindset of the Bekasi people, which then appeared in the design during the Covid-19 pandemic era. This study aims to determine the visual concept of the behavioral symbol of the Bekasi community through semiotic analysis to find the meaning of the aesthetic identity of the artifact which is the result of the people's mindset and then developed in the present. The qualitative method based on the collection of literature data and information is then analyzed with Semiotics to reveal the aesthetic symbols of visual meaning to reveal the behavior of the Bekasi people through the Sharp Bamboo Monument, then this meaning is used as an approach in the current design. The result is a study model that reveals the meaning of the identity symbols of behavior contained in the Sharp Bamboo Monument artifact where the meaning becomes an approach to a design marking/direction that contains a slogan inviting to avoid the spread of Covid-19 according to the character of the people of Bekasi. The conclusions obtained can reveal a concept of behavioral symbol identity design in the Bekasi community which can then be applied during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
