Abstract
ABSTRACT Technology now plays a role in all aspects of people's lives, including in an educational institution. Visual Communication Design as one of the Programs at Dian Nuswantoro University (UDINUS), utilizes website technology as an information service for students. Based on the observations made on the VCD website, UDINUS has several obstacles related to the usability of the interface design. The user interface is one of the quality factors in a website system, where the success of the system on the website is measured by the ease with which users interact and use the system. Therefore, in this study an evaluation was carried out to determine the level of usability in the user interface on the UDINUS VCD website. UCD (User Centered Design) was chosen as the method for evaluating the interface of the VCDwebsite because it is a fairly good approach to the interface design process that focuses on usability goals, user characteristics, environment, tasks, and workflows. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that 55% of respondents stated that they were satisfied with the UDINUS VCD website interface. However, there are 32% of respondents who feel doubtful and 13% of respondents are not satisfied with the appearance of the UDINUS VCD website. Keyword UDINUS VCD, user interface, usability, website
