Abstract

Cultivating mustard greens using the verticulture method is an efficient way to utilize minimal agrocultural land. The objectives of this research is to determine the effect of the combination of the composition of the planting medium and the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from tofu media liquid waste on the growth and yield of pagoda mustard greens. The research was carried out from December 2023 to February 2024. The research was in Gunung Sekar sub-district, Sampang District, Sampang Regency, East Java. The research method used a factorial RAL experimental design consisting of two factors and repeated 3 times. Factor 1, namely the composition of the planting media, consists of 4 levels, namely : M0 : soil+compost+goat mature (1:1:1), M1 : soil+compost+ goat mature (1:1:2), M2 : soil+compost+goat mature (1:2:3), and M3 : soil+compost+goat mature (2:1:1) and factor 2, namely the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer from liquid tofu waste, which consists of 4 levels, namely : 0%, 10%, 20%, amd 30%. The research data were analyzed by analysis of variance and if it showed a significant effect, it was continued with furher tests using the Honest Real Differences (BNJ) test at the 5% level. The results showed that the treatment combination of soil+compost+goat manure (1:1:2) and concentration of 10% tofu liquid organic fertilizer produced the highest total fresh weight of pagoda mustard plants. Based on the quadratic regression analysis of the relationship between the concentration of tofu liquid waste to the crown weight of pafoda mustard plants, the line equation Y = -112.5x2+29.028x+23.903 (R2 = 0.905), where the highest concentration of tofu liquid waste is 13%.
