Abstract
A landslip occurs when earth, rock, or other materials on a slope abruptly shift and slide downward. A landslip eventually happens when an imbalance results in a portion of the slope moving and following the earth's gravitational pull. This is known as ground movement. Ground movement is very likely to occur in places with sloping hilly landforms that are situated in mountainous regions. One of the nations that is most vulnerable to calamities is Indonesia. There is a land vulnerability zone in the Pasuruan Regency area, which essentially denotes places impacted by land movement. Stretching between the flanks of Mount Arjuno and Mount Welirang, Prigen encompasses the Southwest Region, which is prone to landslides due to its precipitous slopes. The Pasuruan Regency Book in Figures 2023 by BPS lists Prigen District as having the second-highest number of regions susceptible to landslides, after Tosari District. Pasuruan RegencyUsing a purposive random selection approach, sampling places were selected based on the categorisation of four slopes with four land use units (SPL), including moors, shrubs, mixed gardens, and monoculture gardens. Three repetitions of each slope unit were performed, with two depths recorded for each repetition. Based on Puslittanak, the parameters of slope slope, land use, soil type, geology type, and rainfall which have been overlaid and given a score and weighting, will produce a landslide susceptibility class. Slopes of 25-45% and >45% were found in all land uses with the potential for landslides
