Abstract
The large variation in soil color makes it difficult to determine the color and organic matter content in the soil. The compilation method requires a relatively long time and the conclusions are determined lightly. Visually observing soil color using sensors is an interesting approach, because color sensor technology can help measure and analyze soil color more objectively and accurately. The research method used was this method. comparison which has several stages, including the planning stage, planning is planning everything that is needed during the research, one of which is collecting the data needed to answer the questions in the research which can involve interviews, surveys, observations, or document analysis, depending about what is needed for research. The soil samples being compared have values for C-Organic, acidity (pH), and cation exchange capacity (CEC) from laboratory tests and soil color sensors with a very small difference between the two, namely 0.01% for C-Organic while other figures are obtained from testing. the laboratory and the sensor are only less than 5% apart, this shows that the accuracy of the tool is close to the expected accuracy. The use of the internet of things (IoT) in this research succeeded in determining soil characteristics including acidity (pH), cation exchange capacity (CEC), and soil C-Organic based on soil color. detected by the tool. The development of tools has an important influence in the fields of agriculture and land management. Keywords: Soil Color, IoT, Acidity (pH), CEC, C-Organic
