Abstract
In measuring the Human Development Index, it requires an important role from human development itself, but in reality, human development often faces various challenges that can hinder efforts to increase the Human Development Index (HDI). Blitar Regency is one of the regencies in East Java Province that has its own challenges in efforts to increase the Human Development Index (HDI). Although various development efforts have been made, there are several problems that need to be addressed to improve the quality of life of the people in Blitar Regency. This study aims to analyze the effect of the regional government budget for human development such as education spending, health spending, and poverty levels on the Human Development Index (HDI) in Blitar Regency. The data scale used in this study is data for the period 2014-2023 obtained from the official websites of BPS and the Blitar Regency Government. The method used in the study is multiple linear analysis. The results of this study state that education spending has no effect on the HDI in Blitar Regency, while health spending and poverty levels have an effect on the HDI in Blitar Regency.
