Abstract

PT. XYZ is one of the regional -owned business units engaged in the distribution of clean water for the general public and is responsible for the management, production and distribution of drinking water in good quality and safe quality. One of the machines used is the Gould pump machine, this machine is used to distribute clean water that has been processed and is ready to be distributed to consumers. PT. XYZ applies the breakdown maintenance method in its machine maintenance process, where breakdown maintenance is carried out when a tool or installation experiences damage or breakdown. Based on the existing problems, PT. XYZ requires a machine maintenance interval schedule so that it can reduce machine maintenance costs. This can also make machine maintenance faster and more efficient without waiting for the machine to experience damage first. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the maintenance interval for the Gould water pump machine at PT. XYZ uses the age replacement and modularity design method. Based on the calculation results of PT. water pump machine maintenance costs. XYZ, it can be concluded that the recommended maintenance method to use is the age replacement method, with an optimal component replacement interval of 25,000 minutes for motor components, 25,500 minutes for pump components, and 70,000 minutes for seal components. Thus, the annual maintenance cost using the age replacement method is IDR 556,735,496.86 with a cost efficiency of 1.22%. It is hoped that this research will provide input for companies to determine maintenance intervals for Gould water pump machines. Keywords : Age Replacement, Modularity Design, Water Pump
