Abstract
Phenomenon of poverty traps people in a condition of prosperity and helplessness in achieving a prosperous standard of living. This issue of poverty is a stain on the level of welfare of the people in an area. Various aspects encourage the creation of poverty, starting from uncontrolled population numbers, abundant unemployment, to low levels of education accessible to the community. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of population, unemployment and education variables on poverty in Sampang Regency. The method applied in the research is multiple linear regression. Research suggests that population size has a negative and significant effect on poverty, while unemployment and education have no effect on poverty.
