Abstract

Nutrition is a substance that is a building component of the human body so that it can function and run as it should in the body. Ignoring nutritional intake means the same as allowing the functions in the body's tissues to not work optimally and will make the body more susceptible to disease. Malnutrition sufferers in Indonesia are increasing every year, and the percentage of malnutrition in Indonesia is around 3.4%. An expert system is a computer-based system that is built based on facts, knowledge and reasoning and can be used to help solve a problem. However, to measure the uncertainty and level of expert confidence in identifying and detecting malnutrition, an expert system can use the Dempster Shafer method. The Dempster Shafer method is a suitable method for measuring uncertainty and the level of expert confidence. The results of testing the system model using the Dempster Shafer method for toddler nutritional diseases obtained quite good results with system accuracy of 84% with a precision value of 81.83% and also a recall value of 80%. Black box testing is added to test whether the system that has been built can apply the model to display the system implementation results as expected.
