Abstract

Good Human Resources (HR) for companies can be trained from high school to university level. One effort to create superior human resources is through the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM) program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. The MBKM program provides students with the opportunity to hone their interests and talents through various forms of off-campus learning, including internships and independent studies. This research focuses on the Certified Independent Study program implemented by PT. Stechoq Robotics Indonesia by offering the course "Lean Manufacturing Engineering For Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0". This program lasts for five months online, consisting of four months of theoretical learning and one month of final project involving the completion of case studies of lean manufacturing improvements and industry transformation 4.0. The case study in this research was taken from a heavy equipment manufacturing company that experienced waste in its production line. The lean manufacturing method is applied to identify and reduce waste, as well as optimize business processes to be more efficient and competitive in the global market. The results of this project show that the implementation of lean manufacturing succeeded in reducing production lead time from 1.1 days to 0.88 days, as well as increasing the efficiency of the production process.
