Abstract
The creative economy is a new alternative sector that drives national economic growth. Economic growth in Gresik Regency, as observed through Gresik Regency's Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), has faced obstacles believed to be due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Gresik Regency Government has responded to this issue with several strategies and policy directions aimed at supporting the development of the creative economy sector in Gresik Regency. Based on the Study of Identification and Development of Community-Based Creative Economy in Gresik Regency, there are natural resources and human resources capable of promoting the development of the creative economy in Gresik Regency. The study also mentions prominent sectors in Gresik Regency, namely culinary, crafts, and fashion sectors. However, facilities supporting creative activities in Gresik Regency are still lacking. Gresik Regency is known as an industrial city due to the numerous industrial establishments scattered throughout the region. Industrial activities have worsened air quality in Gresik Regency. The Gresik Creative Hub is designed to be a space for creative economy practitioners in Gresik Regency. The design concept revolves around the theme of Eco-Creativity Stimulant, providing spaces that encourage the emergence of creative and innovative ideas. The design approach is reinforced with the application of ecological architecture principles, using transformation strategies that consider the local climatic conditions. It is hoped that the design of the Gresik Creative Hub will stimulate creative activities that have a positive impact on the local economy and environment.
