Abstract
Sexual harassment is a privacy and sensitive topic for individuals. Consequently, self-disclosure about sexual harassment is only few. The purpose of this study was to find out how the process of self-disclosure of female teenagers in Surabaya related to the incidents of sexual harassment they had experienced. This study used a qualitative descriptive method using onion theory analysis by Irwin Altman and Dalmas Taylor. This study focuses on five stages in onion theory. The data were collected using in-depth interviews with semi-structured questions. The results of this study prove that in the process of self-disclosure, the length of time it takes a person is influenced by the personality, purpose and intimacy of the victim's relationship with the communicant which affects the occurrence of selfdisclosure.
