Abstract

Violence that occurs in schools is on the rise so it will hamper the teaching and learning process and disrupt good education for children.Victims of violence at school will feel disturbed and this will have an impact on the victim's physical and mental health, thereby affecting activities at school. Even though the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Pasuruan Regency has carried out according to the procedural process in protecting victims of violence in schools, in reality the process is hampered and the factors mostly come from the community, schools and other family as an obstacle to carrying out the legal protection process for victims. Therefore, cooperation is needed from all institutions and all parties, including government, society, institutions, schools and families, to realize the importance of legal protection for victims of violence in schools. The method used in this research is Juridical-Empirical, namely analyzing problems directly in each event and examining whether legal provisions apply in reality in society or can be called field research. The results obtained from this research show that the implementation of the process of legal protection for victims of school violence by the Department of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Pasuruan Regency is still not running smoothly due to community, family and school factors as well as obstacles. which was obtained as a result of a lack of understanding by the community, schools and families about the importance of legal protection that victims of violence at school receive.
