Abstract

Many environmental problems that occur today are a factor of human actions that are only concerned with their own interests and comfort, which can affect the lives of other creatures in it. Therefore, humans should learn about the environment and its conservation, in order to develop a caring and responsible attitude towards environmental sustainability. Environmental education has been provided through an environment-based learning curriculum in schools starting from the Elementary level, with the aim of fostering a caring and responsible attitude towards the environment since being at school age. Children have a habit to spend a Lot of their time by playing, so designing an educational board game about the environment and its conservation can be a solution that can make the learning process more fun. This design uses qualitative methods in collecting data and the 5W + 1H method and the Fishbone method to analyze the results of the data that will be used in the design. The method will produce a design keyword "Fun Environmental Care Education" and design concepts in the form of verbal, visual, and media. The "Sijali" Board Game is made with a fun and cooperative gameplay, where players must work together to improve the damaged environment, by answering questions about the environment and installing environment-themed items. This board game is expected to increase children's understanding of the state of the surrounding environment, and can form an attitude of care, love, and responsibility for environmental sustainability, and is expected to support the environmental learning process while at school.
