Abstract

Purslane (Portulaca oleracea L.) is a weed with rich potential benefits that worth being developed as an ingredient for public consumption. Fulfilling need for purslane food sources must be continuously, safe to consume and good quality, so intensive cultivation is required through regulation of temperature, light intensity and humidity using shade and regulating soil conditions and nutrients through fertilization. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of shade and the appropriate dose of goat manure for the growth and yield of purslane. The research was carried out in Tanggung, Kepanjenkidul District, Blitar City, East Java from September to November 2023. The research used an experimental method with a Split Plot Design in a Randomized Block Design consisting of two factors. The first factor (main plot) is light intencity which consists shade of 0% (N0), 50% (N1) and 75% (N2). The second factor (sub plot) is the dose of goat manure (P) consisting of 0 g/polybag (P0), 40 g/polybag (P1), 60 g/polybag (P2) and 80 g/polybag (P3). The research results showed that the combination of 0% shade treatment and a goat manure dose of 60 g/polybag as a whole was the best treatment for purslane growth
