Abstract
Poverty alleviation is important for a country or region, including Aceh, one of Indonesia's provinces. From an economic perspective, Aceh Province received special treatment in the form of additional allocation of special autonomy funds from 2008 until now. This research aims to determine how much impact the allocation of special autonomy funds for the development of Aceh Province has had on reducing poverty rates during the 2008-2020 period. This quantitative research uses the Synthetic Control Method to find out what the poverty trend in Aceh Province is like when Aceh does not receive the allocation of funds using the synth package available in STATA software. The research results show that allocating special autonomy funds does not impact reducing poverty rates. This can happen because the allocation of special autonomy funds for the poverty alleviation sector is relatively small, which means that the programs implemented do not run optimally.
