Abstract
This study analyzes the influence of economic growth, open unemployment rate, education, and local revenue on the number of poor people in Lumajang district, from 2008-2023. The results show that economic growth has a negative and significant influence on the number of poor people, due to economic fluctuations and unequal income distribution. The open unemployment rate shows a positive and significant influence on poverty, because people's skills are not in accordance with the demands of employment. Education has a negative and significant effect on poverty, where higher education reduces the poverty rate. PAD also has a negative and significant effect on poverty, with an increase in PAD reducing the number of poor people. In conclusion, economic growth, education, and PAD can reduce poverty, while unemployment increases poverty in Lumajang district.
