Abstract

This study is intended to identify the level of price volatility and project the price of purebred chicken eggs in East Java at the producer and consumer levels. To answer the research objectives, ARCH GARCH model analysis is used in this research to evaluate volatility and predict the price movement of purebred chicken eggs and predict the price movement of purebred chicken eggs from the consumer to the producer level. The research results show that 1) Price volatility at the producer level shows a high value of 1.27092, while at the consumer level it has a low level of volatility of 0.5154. 2) The prediction of the price movement for purebred chicken eggs at the producer level shows an average price increase of IDR 52 until it is predicted to reach the highest price of IDR 37,481, while at the producer level it shows an average price increase of IDR 2 until it is predicted to touch the lowest price of IDR 26,461. These results show that price movements of purebred chicken eggs that occur at the consumer level have a stable tendency, while at the producer level, price movements of purebred chicken eggs experience price fluctuations, so it is hoped that local governments can immediately respond to price movements that occur at the producer level through price control policies
