Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Economic Growth, Population, Education, and Unemployment on the Poverty Rate in East Java Province. The research employs a quantitative approach due to the numerical nature of the data, which is analyzed using statistical methods. Specifically, the study focuses on examining the effects of economic growth, population size, education level, and unemployment on the poverty rate in East Java Province. The population for this study consists of data on economic growth, population size, educational attainment, open unemployment rate, and poverty rate sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The analytical technique employed in this research is multiple regression analysis due to the utilization of multiple independent variables. Based on the research findings, the following conclusions can be drawn: Economic growth does not exert a significant influence on the poverty rate in East Java Province. Population size has a negative and statistically significant impact on the poverty rate in East Java Province. Education level has a positive and statistically significant effect on the poverty rate in East Java Province. Unemployment does not significantly affect the poverty rate in East Java Province
