Abstract

This research aims to determine the ratio of fiscal independence and fiscal dependence and determine the Total Population, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and Domestic Investment (DI) on Regional Original Income (ROI). This research uses time series data for the city of Surabaya from 2002 to 2022. The analytical approach used is quantitative descriptive with ratio calculations and applying a multiple linear regression model. The findings of this research show that the fiscal independence ratio of the city of Surabaya is in the delegative predicate and its fiscal dependency ratio is in the medium predicate. The population variable shows that it has no significant effect on Regional Original Income (ROI). Meanwhile, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Domestic Investment (DI) have a significant influence on ROI. The model implication of this research is that the Surabaya City government has optimally utilized ROI sources in the City of Surabaya. High GDP and domestic investment figures should ideally make Surabaya a city that is no longer dependent on central transfer income.
