Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelagic country that has many natural resources. There are natural resources that have not been exploited to make something of value. One of them is dolomite (limestone). Dolomite is generally used for the purposes of making plant fertilizers. One of them is calcium nitrate fertilizer. Calcium nitrate fertilizer is a fertilizer that contains two nutrients, namely calcium and nitrogen in the form of nitrate. The combination of the elements calcium and nitrogen in the form of nitrate has a good effect on plants. The purpose of this study was to determine the highest levels of calcium and nitrogen in calcium nitrate fertilizer and to determine the effect of extraction time and temperature with nitric acid solvent. This research was conducted using the extraction process at a stirring speed of 400 rpm with a variable stirring time of 60,90,120,150,180 minutes and an extraction temperature of 60,70,80,90,100℃. The highest content of (Ca) and (N) in calcium nitrate fertilizer was obtained at 90℃ with a stirring time of 180 minutes, respectively 2.30% and 3.71%.
