Abstract
The agricultural productivity in Ponorogo Regency has experienced fluctuations over the past five years, which are related to technical efficiency constraints that can be overcome through partnerships with PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera. This study aims to analyze (1) the partnership patterns between PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera and partner farmers, (2) the factors influencing partner rice farming production, and (3) the level of technical efficiency and sources of inefficiency in rice farming partner. The research was conducted at PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera in Ponorogo Regency from December 2023 to March 2024. This type of research is descriptive quantitative using a sample of 33 respondents (30 partner farmers and 3 key informants of the company). This research uses Stochastic Frontier Analysis (SFA) Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) method. Based on the research results, the partnership pattern established between farmers and PT Ortani Mitra Sejahtera is the Operational Agribusiness Cooperation pattern. Land area, ANR fertilizer, biofertilizer, and pesticides significantly affect rice production. Meanwhile, seeds, liquid organic fertilizers, and labor do not significantly affect rice production. The average efficiency of 0.94 indicates that the farming operations conducted by partner farmers are already technically efficient. Factors influencing the inefficiency of partner farmers' farming activities include the duration of partnership, farmer's age, land ownership status, and mentoring. However, education, farming experience, and family size do not significantly affect the inefficiency of rice farming. To maximize rice production, farmers are advised to allocate farming inputs according to recommended guidelines to enhance rice productivity. Keywords: technical efficiency, farming, partnership
