Abstract
This research is conducted based on the rampant smuggling of ballpress used clothing from Malaysia over the past five years, which has posed a significant challenge to Indonesia's domestic textile industry. To enhance competitiveness, the Indonesian government has implemented various efforts within the framework of Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs) with a focus on Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT), Rules of Origin (RoO), Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI), and customs cooperation between Indonesia and Malaysia. The implementation of TBT is carried out by strengthening the standardization and certification of textile products, ensuring compliance with international standards. RoO has been tightened to prevent the unauthorized origin of imported goods. PSI has been enhanced to ensure the quality, safety, and compliance of textile products entering Indonesia. Customs cooperation with Malaysia has been intensified to improve surveillance and enforcement against import violations.
