Abstract

The Tiktok application has superior features, one of which is the Tiktok live streaming feature which is currently widely used for business purposes and to buy products. The Tiktok live streaming feature allows users to interact directly and in this feature makes it easy for users, especially buyers, to make purchases directly so that it can cause young adults to make impulsive purchases. The purpose of this study was to determine the impulsive buying behavior of young adults in Surabaya. This research uses descriptive qualitative by conducting in depth interviews. The results of this study indicate that the impulsive buying behavior of young adults in Surabaya is influenced by several factors, both internally such as lack of self-control, feelings of boredom, and external factors such as interactive hosts, special prices, and the influence of the social environment. The convenience in Tiktok's live streaming feature has positive and negative impacts, one of which is to cause negative consumer behavior, namely spontaneous shopping without careful consideration.
