Abstract

The Battle Pass is a paid progression system. Various games have adopted the concept of the "Battle Pass" or "Event Pass," making it a regular element in digital game consumption. One of the games that implements a subscription-based Battle Pass system is Genshin Impact. However, not all players are interested in subscribing to the premium Battle Pass, necessitating a discussion on the analysis of acceptance of the premium Battle Pass. This research aims to analyze the acceptance of the premium Battle Pass subscription among Genshin Impact players in Indonesia. The study employs the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) method, which has been modified for this research. The variables analyzed include performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, behavioral intention, and use behavior. The variable analysis is conducted using SmartPLS software, comprising outer model testing, inner model testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of this research indicate that the variables of habit, facilitating conditions, and behavioral intention significantly influence the use behavior of premium Battle Pass users. Furthermore, the analysis results show that the variables of social influence, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit significantly influence the behavioral intention of premium Battle Pass users.
